Organization Schedule and Your Schedule Across Events
How the organization schedule holds work outside events and overlays every event's activities, and how your account schedule gathers the event activities you are on.
Event schedules cover what happens inside one event. Two more schedules look across events: the organization schedule, for your company's own work and a view over all of its events, and your schedule, which gathers the event activities you are on across every organization you belong to.
The Organization Schedule
Open Schedule from your organization's sidebar. It works like an event schedule, with the same views, recurrence, and dragging, but it has no timeframes and its activities belong to the organization rather than an event. Use it for shop days, warehouse prep, staff meetings, and other work that is not tied to one show.
Organization activities are attached to crew members, departments, and locations instead of collaborators and areas. The sidebar groups the calendars you can turn on:
- General holds your own calendar ("(You)"), the Organization calendar for global organization activities, and Events.
- Departments lists a calendar per department.
- Locations lists a calendar per location.
Turn on Events to overlay the activities of your organization's active events: their global activities, plus every event activity you take part in as crew. Selecting an event activity asks before taking you to that event's schedule, since it belongs to the event and is edited there.
Department and location pages have their own schedule tabs, showing the same calendar narrowed to that department or location.
Your Schedule
Schedule in the left rail, outside any organization, is your personal schedule across everything. It shows the global activities of your active events and every event activity you are assigned to as crew, across all your organizations, so a freelancer working three shows for two companies sees one calendar. Organization schedule activities, such as shop days, stay on each organization's own schedule.
Use the sidebar to choose which Organizations to include. Under Show, Task due dates is on by default and adds your open tasks to the calendar. Turn it off to hide them. Due dates appear in a Due lane at the top of the day, or as all-day items when the lane is off.
