Usage Allowances: AI Credits and Storage per BackOps Pro Seat

How AI credits and storage allowances are pooled across your organization, what happens at the limit, and how admins choose between a hard stop and overage.

Each BackOps Pro seat brings an allowance of AI credits and storage, pooled across the whole organization. They are shown as rows on the plan card in Settings › Billing.

How the Allowance Is Set

The allowance is the number of BackOps Pro seats multiplied by a per-seat amount. It is seeded at 100 AI credits and 100 GB of storage per BackOps Pro seat, and BackOps can override it for an organization. Event Pass and Org Pass seats do not add to the allowance.

AI credits are used by document extraction and other AI features, and are counted per billing period. Storage covers the organization drive and every event's files. The storage row breaks it down by location, the organization drive and then each event, largest first. The breakdown is read live, so it can run up to an hour ahead of the usage figure.

At the Limit

Each allowance has a policy:

  • Hard stop (the default): at the limit, the feature stops. AI jobs are paused with a message that the credits are used up for this billing period. Uploads are refused before the file is saved, with a message to delete files or allow overage.
  • Overage: usage past the allowance continues and is billed per credit or per GB-month on your next invoice.

To switch, turn on Allow overage on the row and agree to the consent dialog. Overage is not available on a plan without usage billing, and during a trial the policy cannot be changed at all, so those always stop at the limit.

Adding BackOps Pro seats raises both allowances.
