Working with Documents

How to create, browse, and manage documents in the Dynamic Docs library.

Dynamic Docs is a dedicated section in the event sidebar. Clicking it opens the document library for that event, with a list of all documents on the left and a preview of the currently selected document in the main content area. Clicking any document in the list loads its preview immediately.

Creating a Document

Creating a document is immediate. There's no setup dialog, no template picker, and no name-first requirement.

Open Dynamic Docs

Click Dynamic Docs in the event sidebar.

Create a new document

Click the Create button. The system instantly generates a blank document and opens it in the editor.

Rename the document

The document starts as Untitled Document. To rename it, click the title in the top-left corner of the editor and type a new name.

There's no required convention for how to name documents. Common approaches include naming by output type (Day Sheet, COM Report, Crew Directory), by scope (Main Stage Day Sheet, FOH Contacts), or by intended audience (Vendor Package, Sponsor Guide).

Browsing Documents

All documents for an event appear in a flat list within the Dynamic Docs section. There are no folders, categories, or groupings. Documents exist in a single shared list. Clicking any document loads a preview of its current state, including live data from its Query Blocks.

Deleting a Document

Deleting a document is permanent. There is no archive state, no draft mode, and no version history. Once deleted, the document and all its content are gone.

Deleting a document also invalidates all public links associated with it. Anyone holding a link to that document will receive a not-found response the next time they try to open it.
