Blocking Email Addresses and Domains from Invitations

How organization admins use the blacklist to stop an email address, or every address at a domain, from being invited to the organization or its events.

The blacklist stops specific people, or everyone at a domain, from being invited into your organization or any of its events. Use it for a former contractor who should not be re-invited, or a domain you never want accounts from.

Only organization admins can manage it.

Add an Entry

Open the blacklist

Open organization Settings and select Blacklist.

Select Add entry

The Add blacklist entry dialog opens.

Choose the type

Choose Email to block one address, or Domain to block every address at that domain.

Enter the value

For example user@example.com or example.com, then select Add entry.

Entries are stored in lowercase, and the same entry cannot be added twice. To unblock, remove the entry from the list.

What Blocking Does and Does Not Do

A blocked address cannot be invited, from the organization crew database or from any event. When someone tries, the invitation is refused and the save stops at that person. People listed before them in the same save have already been invited.

Blocking does not reach back. Crew records, accounts and access that already use the address are left as they are. To take someone's access away, remove their access on the event or in the organization crew database.

A domain entry blocks everyone at that domain. Blocking a shared mail provider's domain would block a lot of people.
