Collaborator Permissions Reference

Reference for the permissions a person can hold on a collaborator, from Collaborator admin to Manage Crew and Approve advance, and what each one allows.

People outside your organization, and people inside it with a narrow job, usually need one collaborator's part of the event and nothing else. Collaborator permissions grant access to a single collaborator: its crew, its advances, its files and its schedule. Event-wide permissions are a separate set.

Set a person's permissions when you invite them, or later on the Permissions tab of their crew record. Changes to someone who has not signed up yet update their pending invitation.

Who Sees Which Collaborators

The event's collaborator list shows everyone to people who can view all collaborators, such as event admins. Anyone else sees only the collaborators on which they hold Read or Collaborator admin. A vendor's production manager therefore sees their own company, not the rest of your vendor list.

Whoever creates a blank collaborator becomes its Collaborator admin.

Outside people get in through an invitation email and a BackOps account. There is no public link that gives someone access to a collaborator. Individual files and Dynamic Docs can be shared by public link; see their sections.
