Crew Associations

How to link crew members to collaborator records and manage those associations over time.

Crew members in your organization's crew database can be linked to collaborator records. This connects individual people to the partner organization they represent: a booking contact linked to a venue record, a production coordinator linked to a vendor, a site manager linked to a facility. Each crew member can be linked to at most one collaborator record at a time.

Linking Crew to a Record

From a collaborator's full page, use the Add Crew action to associate crew with that record. The workflow supports two paths from the same menu:

Link an existing crew member: Select from crew members already in your organization's database. Crew members who are already linked to another collaborator record don't appear in the list, since each crew member can only be associated with one record at a time.

Add a new crew member: Enter the new crew member's details directly. The crew member is created in the org's crew database and linked to this record in a single step.

The Crew List

Once crew members are linked, they appear in the crew table on the collaborator's full page. The table uses the same views engine available throughout BackOps. You can choose which columns to display, apply sorts and filters, and save configurations as custom views.

The table is minimal by default, but you can add columns for standard crew information and any custom crew attributes your organization has configured.

Unlinking Crew

To remove the association between a crew member and a collaborator record, find the crew member in the record's crew table and select the unlink action. A confirmation dialog appears before the association is removed.

Unlinking does not delete the crew member. Their profile remains in the organization's crew database. Only the association to this collaborator record is removed.

Unlinking a crew member has no effect on their profile, custom attributes, or any other data. It only removes the link between that crew member and this collaborator record.
